Cooperation Areas
The knowledge generated at the Polytechnic of Coimbra (IPC) and the Miguel Torga Institute of Higher Education (ISMT) covers several scientific domains with national and international academic recognition. In order to value and apply the knowledge generated at IPC and ISMT to the resolution of concrete Society problems, Coimbra iTEC promotes technical skills in various cooperation areas, which can be applied in various activity sectors, namely companies, public administration and third sector entities. We aim to develop solutions adapted to the needs of companies and institutions, particularly within these areas, and internally find multidisciplinary teams, integrating teachers, researchers and students from the various areas of knowledge of IPC and ISMT.
Consulting
Coimbra iTEC defines the sharing of knowledge with the internal and external community to the Association as a priority. Our consulting services are one of the means for this dissemination. Among our academic and institutional associates, we have a multidisciplinary scope, capable of training technical teams aimed at the specificities of each company and institution, in order to diagnose and respond to their problems and challenges.

TRAINING
Coimbra iTEC seeks to be an active partner in the definition of the guidelines of regional and national development policies, towards the continuous strengthening of the capacities and competences of the public, industrial and business sector. Through synergies between academic and institutional associates, we cover a wide multidisciplinary area that allows us to be a reference in the development of training projects adapted to the needs of companies and institutions.

SERVICES AND PRODUCTS
The activities of provision of specialized services developed by Coimbra iTEC include a network of employees, mostly linked to associates, significantly extending the scope of Coimbra iTEC’s own competences. In particular, we aim to promote a significant set of provision of services applied to companies and public institutions, through the implementation of a set of interaction initiatives with the main actors in the process of economic valorization and interaction with the business fabric as well as strengthen capacity to participate in national and international networks.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
We aim to be a mean for applied research and the development of new ideas and technologies with business potential, through a strong synergy between the associates of Coimbra iTEC, with the aim of attracting more and better companies, create value in existing ones and promote entrepreneurship. R&D projects can be developed taking advantage of the Community funding framework, either in the context of other national and international support and/or funding.
